Pitchly's commitment to our community

Posted by: Pitchly

Des MoinesWe know that at this point, you have likely heard from numerous companies about their preparations for keeping their employees safe and their businesses running during this unprecedented time, however, we at Pitchly feel that it is important for you to know what we are doing to keep our employees, community, and customers safe during this difficult time.

While we have been very fortunate so far that a limited number of cases have been reported in our home city of Des Moines, Iowa, in an effort to #flattenthecurve, we have asked our team members who are located there to begin working from home and we have asked all employees to curtail non-essential travel for the time being. Many of our team members already work from home on a regular basis, and roughly one third of our company works in locations where we don’t have a physical office, so for us, this means that we expect no impact on our operations because much of our day to day work has always been performed remotely.

Further and perhaps most important, Pitchly is 100% cloud-based, which means that not only can we continue to push projects forward, but so can you. We are committed to keeping our services up and running. As many of you shift to more remote work, we hope our SaaS product will become an even more valuable tool to share knowledge, find information, and collaborate effectively while remaining safely at home.

As much as we are concerned about the health of our colleagues, neighbors, friends and families, we are also concerned about the economic health of our community. Our office is located in the East Village of Des Moines, the city’s most vibrant and diverse district, boasting numerous small and independent shops and restaurants whose workers will be severely impacted by the loss of business. To show our support, Pitchly will be making a contribution to the Food Bank of Iowa which has committed to ensuring that our most vulnerable neighbors have safe access to the nutrition and resources they need.

We are in uncharted waters and this is making for challenging and sometimes frightening times, however, I speak for all of Team Pitchly when I say that we feel confident that as a company and community, we can get through this together.

Kind regards,
